Our designer took the popular Chelsea boot style added some heel padding details and put it all on our insanely comfortable stitch-out Rambler construction. Stylish and easy to wear, we offer this modern classic in a knocked down black tumbled nubuck, a rich oxblood color in a burnished pull-up leather and, for you cosmic adventurers, a limited run in stormtrooper white!
We built this handsome urban hiker six-eyelets high with a padded leather collar, on a stitch-out construction and a double layer outsole of real plantation crepe. Fashion-forward and traditionalist alike will love this perfect blend of cool, casual, and comfort. We lightly burnish the toes and heels of the suede uppers for added character. We dropped the classic work boot “mocc-toe” style onto our ridiculously comfortable Rambler construction (same as the "Grover") and called it the “Cooper”. Classic Steel Grey Suede, Burnished Crazy Horse Oxblood and a fresh new Tan Crazy Horse Leather complete the look of this instant Hound & Hammer classic.
The original “desert boot” was created as a comfortable casual shoe able to survive harsh desert conditions. We think our version works just as well walking downtown streets or propped up on the railing at your favorite watering hole. We made ours just a tad taller than the classic, with 5 eyelets in place of 2 or 3 giving a fresh twist to an old standard. This style features a hand-crafted “stitch-out” construction, that we pair with a TPR (Thermo-Plastic- Rubber) unit outsole- acclaimed for its slip-resistance, flexibility and durability. As a nod to the original we have given the outsole a crepe texture. Besides classic suede (which we also hand-burnish along the edges, toe and heel) we also offer two versions in buffalo leather: black and a daring “oxblood”. The Grover is built on the Rambler last, featuring a strong high-walled toe character that is at once bold and comfortable.
